ASVAB Electronics Information
Circuits, Ohm's law, components, and electrical safety
Voltage, Current & Resistance
Understand the fundamental concepts of voltage, current, and resistance, and how they relate through Ohm's Law—the foundation of electronics.
Series & Parallel Circuits
Master the differences between series and parallel circuits and how voltage, current, and resistance behave in each configuration.
Electronic Components
Learn to identify and understand the function of common electronic components like resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, and transistors.
AC/DC, Power & Safety
Understand alternating and direct current, power calculations, and electrical safety principles essential for working with electrical systems.
About the Electronics Information Section
The Electronics Information (EI) section is one of the 9 subtests on the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). It covers circuits, ohm's law, components, and electrical safety.
Your EI score contributes to composite line scores used by military branches to determine which jobs you qualify for. A higher EI score opens up more career options across the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Space Force.
Our 4 interactive lessons take you from fundamentals to test-ready mastery. Each lesson includes concept explanations, worked examples, and practice questions with instant feedback.
